A few weeks ago I was asked if I'd be up for doing an interview on the Animation Insider website. 'Me' Time (Part 2)
On the second day of my mini-break, I thought I'd make the most of the weather and potter around my home town of Stratford-on-Avon. If you've never visited, you should...but try to avoid school breaks or Bank Holidays, unless you like crowds ;)
After mooching around the old part of town I made my way back to the main shopping area. On the way, I checked Twitter on my phone and found out that I'd won the latest Skwigly competition :) The prize was a book, 'The Art of Short Films 1'. I was so chuffed I stopped at the nearest cafe and treated myself to a pot of tea and a slice of lemon drizzle cake...who said I wasn't rock'n'roll? ;)

'Me' Time (Part 1)
Once in a while it's nice to be able to drop everything and go out and do things that you don't often get the chance to do.
I've booked a few days off from work and, although there are still chores and boring stuff to do like waiting in for the gas man, I've managed to tear myself away from my desk and get out and do things.
On Thursday, I met up with an old friend and ex-colleague Mike Tse (aka Thunderscrawl). We worked together at Blitz Games, but I hadn't seen him for a couple of years and it was good to catch-up on what he'd been up to in the meantime. Seems he's been spending a fair chunk of that time working on some lovely looking illustrations - pop on over to his site to see for yourself - http://thunderscrawl.com/
Fingers crossed we'll get a chance to work on something together at some point. :)

New site, new blog!
Following a bit of rejigging - and a shiny new website - I thought this would be as good a time as any to kick off a new blog.
Over the coming weeks and months I'll be posting all kinds of stuff, most of which will have something to do with character design, illustration etc. In the meantime, why not pop over to the new site and have a look around.
